Post Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Things have been hectic at my house. My laptop has been on life-support so I've been using hubby's. I haven't wanted to do too much surfing with his.

My step-son came in from Denver with his fiance' (dressed in black) and our daughter (in green) came in from Lafayette. Since I was already in Lake Charles because of the BWG conference, hubby came in from Yukon. Then like a whirl wind, we all went our separate ways. Yesterday hubby and I drove the 10 hours back to OK in two separate cars. Not fun.

I think I'm too old for hectic!

I'll post more later. Just wanted everyone to know I'm still kicking and wondering about your Thanksgiving, your NaNoWrMo, your latest writing project.

Let me hear from you.

Hi, Jess. So glad you and Jim got home safe. Had a fine Thanksgiving myself and trying to get back into the writing groove. Have done some blogging. Check out the new look. I just read Some Kind of Peace, a mystery thriller by Swedish sisters Camilla Grebe & Åsa Träff. Very well done, more of a psychological thriller. Happy writing.

Awww, that's a little sad.
Had a nice holiday. Saw the little forlorn look on my mom's face as we all said our good-byes. It had me thinking how sad it will be when I'm not seeing my grandbaby everyday.

Other thoughts. Saw the anthology you are a part of. So, cool. Beautiful cover. http://www.amazon.com/Hearts-Hearths-Holidays-Seasons-ebook/dp/B009ZP5R86 Shared and tweeted. I'm so excited for you. Admire you and your work a lot.

Jan - great to have coffee with you and to hear you speak to the Rotary Club. I left some important stuff in LC - has me down. Don't want to wait until Christmas to get it. :(

Ey - I saw that look on my mom's face. Think I had it too when my bunch drove away. Sad, isn't it. Thanks for being so sweet. You've always been so encouraging. Hope you're doing well. You know, don't you, there's a new writing group in Beaumont. It's on FB too - Texas Gulf Coast Writer, I think. Check it out.

(I couldn't locate your email)

Hello,

My name is David and the reason I'm writing is because I have a book coming out this month. I am looking to give a few free copies away to people who are willing to post a review on it (on amazon and on their website if they would like). I wanted to ask if you would like to participate?

The book is titled Jesus Beside Me. It's a collection of 30 mediations on the words of Christ as they appear in Matthew's gospel. The book is both devotional and mindful. I would love if you'd be a part of its launch by reviewing it early.

Thank you for your consideration. I hope you have a great weekend!

Everyone looks great in the photo! Bob's parents visted from Arizona over Thanksgiving, and we went to my sister-in-law's in Houston for the feast.
