Snow Day - Prayer Day

A 'blizzard' hit Beaumont, TX. Here's what it looked like from our apartment patio at 1:00 A.M. ->

Later during the morning it looked like this. Every one I know got up during the wee hours to see the snow. Nature's beauty brought laughter and fun . . . and tears too.
A friend of ours was in a horrible accident and had to be air-lifted to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Please pray for him. His name is Alvaro Garcia. Thanks.

Lovely, wasn't it? My students and I were totally awed...

So sorry to read about your friend. Keeping him in my prayers.

You all got a bit more snow in Beaumont than we did in Lake Charles. I heard from friends in Baton Rouge and they got more there too. How does that happen?

The snow was nice to see once - since I have decided I hate cold weather and may never travel where it snows for real.

My morning of snow - was not good. I'm never really awake before coffee. And I was working. So my aunt (works with me at the opposite shift) called me outside when our shifts changed and big dummy that I am, I went outside in scrubs with no jacket - she got me with a snow ball right in the face - relatives!! lol If I get sick someone is in trouble.

I'm sorry about your friend. I'll keep him in my prayers also.

Hope your friend did ok.

So sorry about your friend, Jess. Hope he's better.

I am so jealous about the snow. They got it in Lufkin, but it didn't quite make it here. Boo Hoo!
